QIMA/WQS Response to COVID-19

Our Response to COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly impacted the global production chain including the manufacturing and production of food. As we continue to maneuver through this crisis, the food production chain has continued to operate in order to guarantee a continuous supply to people all over the world. As a result, the assurance of the production of safe food to consumers has never been more important.

WQS will continue to work on strengthening this guarantee by searching for methods to support the production of safe food throughout the entire process.

We are following all measures and procedures that have been put in place by federal, state and municipal government, as well as all rules laid out by the accreditation bodies and standard holders. In addition to this, we are also continuously staying in contact with our employers, auditors and inspectors to guarantee their part in taking preventive measures such as:

  • Daily temperature monitoring
  • 60% Alcohol Gel Hand sanitizer
  • Avoiding touching eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Avoiding greetings by shaking hands as well as practicing social distancing guidelines
  • Following all instructions and policies of the customers they visit
  • Our internal team is working remotely

According to the Memorandum on Identification of Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers During Covid-19 Response from CISA (Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency), support service workers for the food and agriculture sector, including inspections providers are classified as essential; See page 8 of the Memorandum and Guidance of April 17, 2020 at this link:
